2. Purpose and scope of application
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter, “GTC”) govern the purchase of products via the Koelus online shop (shop.koelus.com), managed by ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L.
Koelus is a shop specializing in the sale of new, original IoT (Internet of Things) devices and solutions from manufacturers.
The customer's acceptance of the order implies that they have read, understood and fully and unconditionally accepted these GTC, which shall take precedence over any other terms and conditions, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time by publishing the updated version on the website. The version in force at the time the order is placed shall apply to that transaction.
Koelus products comply with current Spanish legislation. Customers purchasing products from countries other than Spain are responsible for verifying compliance with applicable local regulations, including any import restrictions.
3. Purchase process and conclusion of the contract
To place an order, the customer must:
- Access shop.koelus.com and select the desired products.
- Add the items to the shopping cart.
- Complete the payment process, providing the necessary details for delivery and billing.
- Review the order summary and confirm the purchase.
The prices shown on the website are valid exclusively for online orders placed at shop.koelus.com. The applicable VAT will be calculated and displayed at the end of the purchase process based on the customer’s tax details. Prices may be displayed with or without tax depending on the option selected in the shop; in any case, the final amount including VAT will always be shown before the order is confirmed.
The sales contract is concluded when the customer receives the order confirmation by email. If the details in this confirmation are incorrect, the customer must contact us as soon as possible at info@koelus.com or by telephone at 984 54 29 61.
The contract may be entered into in Spanish or English, at the customer’s discretion. The electronic records of ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. shall constitute proof of the transactions carried out, unless proven otherwise.
4. Product availability
Koelus only processes online orders for products that are expressly listed as in stock in the shop at the time of purchase. Stock levels are updated in real time; however, in exceptional cases, stock may run out during the purchase process, in which case the order will be cancelled and the full amount paid will be refunded.
Products that are not shown as immediately available cannot be purchased via the online shop. To enquire about availability, delivery times or special conditions regarding these items, the customer must contact Koelus in advance at info@koelus.com or by telephone at 984 54 29 61.
5. Prices and delivery charges
Delivery charges are not included in the price of the products and will be shown in detail before the order is confirmed, depending on the delivery address and the weight of the shipment. The current rates are set out below:
| Delivery zone | 0–4,99 kg | 5–9,99 kg | 10–15 kg |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zone 1 — Spain (Mainland and Balearic Islands) | 10,00 € | 15,00 € | 20,00 € |
| Zone 2 — Spain (Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla) | 15,00 € | 20,00 € | 25,00 € |
| Zone 3 — European Economic Area | 40,00 € | 40,00 € | 40,00 € |
| Zone 4 — Rest of the world | Request a quote at info@koelus.com | ||
For shipments exceeding 15kg, the customer must contact our team in advance at info@koelus.com to obtain a customised quote.
Shipments to the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, as well as to countries outside the European Customs Union, do not include any applicable customs duties or import taxes, which will be borne entirely by the buyer.
The online shop is designed for standard-volume orders. For orders exceeding the quantity limits set for each product, or for special configuration or supply requests, the customer must request a quotation in advance at info@koelus.com. In such cases, the commercial conditions, delivery times and other terms will be expressly detailed in the quotation sent to the customer, which shall take precedence over the general rates published on the shop.
6. Delivery times and methods
Orders are dispatched to the delivery address provided by the customer during the purchase process. Orders are processed and dispatched from Monday to Friday during business hours. The estimated delivery times, calculated from the date of dispatch, are:
- Spain (Mainland and Balearic Islands): 2 to 5 working days.
- Spain (Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla): 5 to 10 working days.
- Rest of Europe: 5 to 10 working days.
- Rest of the world: depending on the destination country.
For orders containing several items with different availability, the dispatch time will be based on the item with the longest preparation time. In exceptional cases, ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. may split the order into more than one shipment; in such cases, the customer will be informed and the costs of the second shipment will be subject to the conditions agreed in each case.
If, following order confirmation, any of the items becomes unavailable due to stock shortage, ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. will contact the customer to inform them of the situation and agree on a new estimated delivery date. In this case, the delivery time initially indicated in the shop will be null and void and replaced by the date agreed with the buyer. The customer may choose to maintain the order with the new delivery date or cancel the affected part and receive the corresponding refund.
Upon receipt of the order, the customer must check the condition of the packaging and the products. If any damage is observed or items are missing, the customer must notify Koelus within a maximum of 14 calendar days of receipt, at info@koelus.com or by telephone at 984 54 29 61, attaching photographic evidence of the damage where possible. Once this period has elapsed without notification, no claims for damage or missing products will be accepted, without prejudice to the right to the statutory warranty.
If the order has been dispatched and the customer has not received any update regarding its delivery, they may contact our Customer Service team at info@koelus.com or at 984 54 29 61.
7. Payment methods
Koelus offers the following payment methods:
- Credit or debit card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Cartes Bancaires, China UnionPay (CUP), Diners Club, Discover, eftpos Australia and Japan Credit Bureau (JCB), processed through a secure payment gateway.
The charge is processed at the time of order confirmation. Koelus does not store card details: payment processing is handled entirely by the payment gateway, which complies with the PCI DSS standard.
If the card is declined, the order will be automatically cancelled and the customer will be notified.
8. Right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal set out in this section applies exclusively to end consumers, defined as natural persons acting for purposes unrelated to their commercial, business, trade or professional activities, in accordance with Article 3 of the TRLGDCU. Customers acting as business owners or professionals do not have a legal right of withdrawal, without prejudice to any expressly agreed terms between the parties.
In accordance with Article 102 et seq. of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of 16 November (TRLGDCU), the end consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the order, without providing any reason.
To exercise this right, the customer must:
- Complete and submit the withdrawal form available on the website or notify their decision in a clear and unequivocal manner to info@koelus.com before the deadline expires.
- Return the products in perfect condition, in their original packaging and including all accessories, manuals and instructions.
The refund of the amount paid will be made via the same payment method used for the purchase, within a maximum of 14 calendar days from the date on which ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. has received and verified the condition of the returned product. Return costs will not be refunded and shall be borne by the customer, except in the cases provided for in the warranty section.
Products showing signs of use, which have had their seals broken (where the seal is a hygiene or safety measure), or items not purchased from this shop cannot be returned.
9. Legal warranty for products
All products sold by Koelus are new and come with a 3-year legal guarantee of conformity from the date of delivery, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 and Directive (EU) 2019/771.
The guarantee does not cover:
- Damage resulting from incorrect or negligent use, or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Physical damage caused by knocks, drops or improper handling.
- Normal wear and tear.
In the event of a defect covered by the warranty, ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. will opt for repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract, in accordance with the legally established terms.
ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. reserves the right to request verification of the origin of the defect by an authorised service centre. If it is found that the damage is attributable to misuse, a repair quote will be provided and the cost invoiced to the customer.
10. Complaints and customer service
For any queries, issues or complaints relating to an order, the customer may contact our Customer Service team by email at info@koelus.com
11. Compatibility, suitability and use of IoT devices
The products sold by Koelus are technical Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Their correct installation and operation may depend on factors external to the device itself, such as the customer’s network infrastructure, available communication protocols, firmware version, integration platform or deployment environment.
It is the customer’s sole responsibility to verify, prior to making a purchase, that the device purchased is compatible with their infrastructure and suitable for the intended use. To this end, Koelus provides the customer with:
- The technical specifications for each product on its product detail page.
- Customer support at info@koelus.com for pre-purchase enquiries.
ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. accepts no liability for any damages arising from an inappropriate choice of product in relation to the customer’s environment, nor for the device’s incompatibility with third-party systems, platforms or networks. Furthermore, the customer is responsible for complying with applicable regulations regarding radio frequencies, approvals and certifications or usage restrictions in their country or region, particularly for shipments outside the European Economic Area.
The technical specifications, data and features indicated in the product documentation are based on information provided by the manufacturers and may be subject to design changes or technical improvements without prior notice. Such indications do not constitute an additional warranty statement, without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory warranty rights.
Any intervention by the customer on the device that is not expressly authorized in the manual or in the manufacturer’s official documentation — including modifications to firmware, hardware or low-level configuration — may result in the loss of the warranty in respect of the defect claimed, unless the customer can prove that such intervention has no causal link to the reported problem.
The foregoing is without prejudice to the consumer’s statutory warranty rights in respect of defects in the conformity of the device itself, as set out in section 9 of these terms and conditions.
12. Communication Security
The Koelus online shop uses an encrypted connection via the HTTPS (SSL/TLS) protocol on all pages of the purchase process, ensuring the confidentiality of the data transmitted. Koelus does not store customers’ credit card details or bank credentials; payment is processed entirely through the payment gateway, which operates under PCI DSS certification.
13. Limitation of liability
ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. shall not be liable for any damages arising from interruptions, technical faults, computer viruses or force majeure events beyond its control that may affect the operation of the shop or the processing of orders.
The shop may contain links to third-party websites. ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the content, availability or accuracy of such sites, nor does their inclusion imply any commercial relationship or partnership.
ARITIUM TECHNOLOGIES S.L. reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to the shop for users who breach these terms and conditions, without prior notice.
14. Protection of personal data
In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), the customer is hereby informed of the following:
